Teary Eyed

I'm sure anybody who has spent, oh, ten minutes with me, knows I am a Democrat. I think that the husband tries to hide it from his work buddies, but he's not too successful at it. The point is yesterday was a very exciting day for me. I think it was also a very exciting one for the country. It's not just that Obama is in the political party I support or that he is the first African-American to hold the office. It's that he is somebody the country is excited about. He brought a passion back to politics, I believe. It reminds me of the way people saw Kennedy. I hope that he can make a difference in the country, as well. I mean, obviously I don't have a job, or a real one, so I've been hit with the whole economic problem, I guess you could say. And I also know that it is possible that the troop escalation could include my husband. But I have faith that he can do what is best for the country, and that he will be able to lead us through the hard times ahead.

It's nice to see somebody who got there because he worked hard for it and who will stay there because he believes in the country rather than in himself.
